Though many scholarship programs for women focus on STEM subjects, there are also many scholarships for women available to women who are pursuing the arts. Another good source for scholarships for women is the American Association of University Women.
There remain areas of education and business and industry where women are largely underrepresented. Therefore scholarships from professional and independent organizations remain plentiful for women of all kinds: undergrads, grads and professional women returning to college for career advancement. Scholarships for Non-Traditional Women
A growing number of women are returning to school after child-rearing. Women with careers that have been interrupted by families often have financial pressures, and dozens of organizations as well as colleges and universities offer non-traditional scholarships to women returning to school or making a stressful career change.
