Graduate Scholarships
Scholarships for graduate students are much less common than scholarships for undergraduate students, but many graduate students, especially phD students, receive fellowships for working at a university, as well as a monthly stipend. Scholarships for graduate students are out there, and you may have a better chance, because there are less students vying for the prize. Graduate school can help advance your career, boost your salary, and build your qualifications.
If you're already committed to a certain field of study, you'll have a better chance at graduate grants and fellowships because of your interest in the subject and your commitment to study it. If you are interested in doing research in a particular field of study, research grants are available to you. A degree-related research project may qualify you for a research grant either through a university or an independent sponsor that has a vested interest in the topic you are pursuing. Check the website of the university you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree at, and try to personally contact professors in the relevant department. Even more so than college, graduate study is about personal connections, especially when it comes to research grants.
If you are already in a profession, professional development scholarships are often offered by employers as incentives to pursue an advanced degree. Most employers offer tuition reimbursement, and many large companies and corporations sponsor scholarships these days in the form of corporate scholarships.
