Business Scholarships
Finding Business Scholarships
Business Scholarships are available both as undergraduate business scholarships and mba scholarships. Undergraduates and those pursuing their MBA will find many available scholarships in the list below. Many professional organizations offer "business school scholarships". If you are an entrepreneur, you can also browse the list of "scholarships for entrepreneurs".
Minority Business Scholarships
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) offers scholarships for minority accounting students. Up to $5,000 is awarded to minority accounting majors who have an overall GPA of at least 3.3. It is available for both graduate and undergraduate students. The scholarships are available to female students who are attending school full time or part time and majoring in accounting.
Also, each year the National Black MBA Association scholarship is awarded to graduate students in business programs throughout the United States. This award offers up to $15,000 to twenty five full-time MBA students who meet the scholarship requirements.

Studying Business
The Bachelor of Business Administration is awarded to students who complete three to four years of full-time study in business administration. Such degrees often involve majors in a specific field such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, management information systems, HRM, and strategic management.
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a master's degree in business administration, which attracts people from a wide range of academic disciplines. The MBA designation originated in the United States, emerging from the late 19th century as the country industrialized and companies sought out scientific approaches to management. The MBA degree has since achieved worldwide recognition as a professional degree. Graduates of accredited MBA programs are well prepared to undertake advanced professional occupations in businesses, as well as in colleges and universities as instructors of business administration and management.
Business students today can expect a balanced and broad-based education that focuses on a lot more than business-related courses. Majoring in business prepares you to work in a variety of settings. Most students who graduate with an undergraduate business degree go to work immediately after graduation in jobs such as:
- Entry-level manager
- Human resources specialist
- Assistant product manager
- Market researcher
- Public relations representative
- Systems analyst
- Securities salesperson
- Financial analyst
Only 10 to 15 percent of business students go directly to graduate school. Most work for two or more years before applying to a graduate program, such as the "M.B.A."
