Finding Money for College
Figuring out how to pay for college is often difficult, and valuable information on financial aid is scarce and hard to find on the web. Therefore, my aim in creating this website is to provide useful information for college applicants looking for financial aid. The scholarships, where to find them, and the requirements for them are clearly listed in a way that is easy to understand and quickly accessible. The scholarships are organized by type, so people of every type of background will be able to find resources here. The search for financial support takes a lot of time; and the aim of this website is to simplify the process to save you valuable time and effort.
Apply for Scholarships of Every Type
Financing a college education is challenging for many people, and there is such an abundance of information out there on the web that it’s hard to find scholarships that apply to you. Rather than making you do hours of research to find useful on financial aid, this website lets you browse scholarships by category, and so almost everyone will find a form of financial aid that applies them. Not only will you find scholarships for college, you’ll find scholarships for different types of majors like nursing, for non-traditional students, for minorities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and many more. Most of the scholarships on this site are from private organizations, but you’ll also find information on student aid for different states, as well as information on student loans through different colleges and universities. Private scholarships are a great source of funding, and they’re offered through a vast number of organizations and independent companies. Private scholarships are a good source for funding because they are usually offered to many types of people, for many different types of college majors, and to many different groups of people, especially minorities. They can be sponsored by a business or organization.
Search for Scholarships without entering personal information: Why Scholarships-for-School.com is different
Most importantly, you do not have to sign in to get access to all of the amazing scholarships listed on this website. Most of the other scholarship websites out there, such as Scholarships.com and FastWeb.com, make you sign in and enter personal information to get access to any of their scholarships. This website, Scholarships-for-School.com, lets you browse all of the scholarships on the site for free, without entering personal information.
This website was created by a college graduate frustrated with the scholarship search process. While sites like FastWeb claim to have awards listed that are collectively worth over $3 billion, the individual scholarships listed are rarely worth more than a few hundred dollars. While every little bit counts when the price tag of a college education is up to $40,000 a year, one has to wonder what the best use of your time is. I often found that even scholarships that offer only a hundred dollars require several essays, lengthy applications, follow-ups, and long waiting periods. Your time is valuable too, especially during your college search, and you could earn the same amount of money with less effort simply by working at your local McDonald’s. Therefore, all of the scholarships listed on this website offer a minimum of $1000. Sites like FastWeb send out incessant email updates that are a serious nuisance and contain little value. The emails often contain the same recycled information and scholarships, instead of real updates like the website claims. The main problem with the concept of a scholarship matching service is that the information is not presented openly or in an organized, consistent fashion. College applicants are intelligent enough to know which scholarships are applicable to their situation and thus the most value is provided in a scholarship database that lists ALL valuable scholarships out there in a consistent, organized manner, sorted and searchable by category. This website does that, and is constantly being updated with new scholarships. If you think we’ve missed an important scholarship out there, please contact us.
